Loui Jover
Loui Jover I had used this artist before in another project. I was fascinated in the materials he used to paint over he would do so many different things with the paper for example he would tea stain the paper and scrunch it up to create texture. also he would use news paper or cut out squares of different colours and sometimes have really tiny text purposely to make a mark onto the painting. he would also use materials like inks to create either a vibrant or dark observation the majority of his artwork is of painted girls faces close up to capture as much detail in the human face as possible but also making a almost like pop art effect. for example in many of his pieces he would paint different parts of the faces in different colours some which you wouldn't see normally on a human face. this is one of the reasons why this particular artist links to my project abstract in the human form. showing something that is an unusual to something that has a solid look in reality about themselves. also looking at his work and talking about colours on faces you wouldn't normally see on a human face, has made me think of face paint. this means I could lead my project in the direction of using a model to paint pictures and colours to demonstrate this idea of abstract in the human form. but for me to take on this idea I would have to explore different techniques to make sure I create the effect I want and so it links purely to the point of my project, so making sure that it is an example of abstraction in the human form. I would start researching general face paint within fashion models, circus acts, plays, musicals, pantomime etc....
